Saline Valley Two Spare (Report)

Came out of the Saline Valley Warm Springs yesterday. It took me 3 hours 45 minutes to get in (and out) from the 190 blacktop. That road is eating up many, many tires. I went in with two vehcles. My van with LT tires had no flat, but the SUV 4WD with P tires had one flat. Getting into and out of the Warm Springs is not about 4WD; it's all about tires and clearance (and vehicle reliability). I had two full size spares. I don't think I'll ever go the Saline Valley again without two spares. One flat (unrepairable) obviously means you are driving without a spare. Not smart in Saline Valley. Carry two spares and have at least LT tires (as another person recently posted). The SV appeared to be dominated by Toyotas of various sorts; I wonder where all the Jeeps went.
