We have a similar attraction here in Santa Cruz, the Mystery Spot. We have been there several times in the 25 years we have lived her in town, always when a new niece or nephew comes of age. The amazing thing is the bus loads of Japanese tourists who go there. It is a regular stop for the busses from San Francisco, probably on their way to Big Sur.

I always say that the true mystery is why anybody falls for these things.

Nothing to do with Death Valley, but fun anyway.
