If one ever had the opportunity to view Mr. Ericsson taking his desert shower, one would see that his hypothesis about evaporation is in error, the cause of his lower extremities never getting wet is obviously due to the extreme girth of his abdominable area caused by ingesting large quantities of fermented barley and hops over the years.
He does not mention that he solved this problem by first showering his upper body then rapidly inverting himself in a handstand and letting the water flow onto his neither regions while he was wildly giggling. Now, believe me, that was a sight to behold! For years it was quite a tourist attraction at Indian Ranch until Mrs. Ericsson finally caught him and a couple of whacks from a wet towel stopped the exhibition for good.
