September plans change

Got a call last night from a Buddy who was planning his 50th birthday celebration. We had in mind a stay at Panamint Springs after a camping excursion that included a birthday hike to the top of telescope.
He's in the hospital, and the hernia surgery didn't go as expected. Things are now up in the air. Pretty lousy 50th birthday present.
