I didn’t measure but estimate snow depth after it quit snowing to be in the 13”-16” range. It’s been very cold since, with highs in the upper 20s to freezing, last night it went to zero.

As for a place to stay, when I was real estate shopping up here between 2016 and 2018 I always stayed at Scott’s Shady Court. Small, cabin like rooms. Quite old, but at the time was AAA approved. Indoor pool and such. It backs to the interstate but I never noticed traffic noise.

Otherwise, there’s motels ranging from typical small town casino to a high end Clarion on the east side of town.

The best Basque restaurant in town is The Martin. It’s a historical landmark. Traditional Basque food and settings.

Hi Cliff. Yup, it’s me. You’re lucky I saw this post nearly 24 hours after you posted it (23 hours and 48 minutes to be exact). I seldom check this forum as it’s very slow.

I am still in Winnemucca. Graham Cooper, who accompanied us in the silver Tacoma when we did Steel Pass and the Eureka Valley trails died of cancer in 2017 in Reno. He was still living in Big Pine.

It would be cool to meet up for lunch or something. I’ll send you a PM with my contact info.
