Was there last month. Road is in good shape as far as it goes - slow going on coarsegravel and cobbles toward end. The spring is not at the current end of the road - plan on hiking in a ways (we hiked a total of 1/2 hr, beyond the spring, before coming to falls we didn't want to go down). Didn't see any roads to the north.
