They (the jets) practice keeping America free and fly a lot in the "remote" desert valleys (Saline, Panamint, Eureka and east into Nevada). If you are lucky they will put on a good show for ya. Once I was on Whitney and got "buzzed" several times, it was great!!
Have seen many fighters, the B1 bomber, and both stealth bomber and fighter, as well as many high altitude super sonic (with the "boom" included) flyby's!
