Geof I have been most of the way up the pass but allways found something to look at before making it to the top.(lots of mines,prospects, and secret things that you will have to find for yourself) It is pretty rugged with a large amount of pinions. Would definitly make a good hike.If you head up the canyon till you reach the weather station turn right and the trail soon dissapers into the terrain.
This is the only picture I could find that shows the pass. It is just to the left of sentinel peak.The snow makes it look more barren than it is.
I will be heading up that way maybe next week . Will try to get new recon photos for you.
