Thats kinda what I thought too, but the buildings looked pretty darn weathered and authentic looking..since it was filmed in the 40
s I was wondering if maybe there was a old town in DV that had been set up as a site rather than just the backlot. Guess my trip to Bodie where the buildings are pretty preserved got me thinking that way...
