There is no camping allowed in Cerro Gordo, however you can camp in BLM land away from the town. The road to Cerro Gordo is public road, so you can drive through town without a problem For information about visiting the town go to my website. Even if you are coming for the day it's a good idea to call ahead and let John & Roxie know. You might want to consider a stay in the bunkhouse or the Belshaw, though, for a real ghost town experience. Here's the link directly to Cerro Gordo information: Also check out the link to the home page on my website and go to my archives for several stories about Cerro Gordo, as well. The group picture on the home page was also taken there just a few weeks ago. Feel free to e-mail me for more info, as well - I am one of the Friends of Cerro Gordo, and considered a part time resident of the ghost town.
