Thanks Cecile, that's the sort of information that my guide books are missing. I have their number so I'll call when I have a clearer view of the ETA. Do I need their permission to travel through Cerro Gordo, or is it more for when visiting the buildings etc. I'm not sure if they own the place, you call them caretakers, or what.

The NPS daily report states that snow is down to 6000ft, so I need to be very sure about places like Hunter Mountain.
