ladies and gents : my wife and i just got back from dv , beatty and surrounding areas a few hours ago . my wife and i spent an enjoyable weekend pretty much exploring from our pickup truck . we checked out the dolomite loop and keeler and we took a ride through darwin . we rode up the hill toward cerro gordo and checked out a small graveyard that was located close to keeler . we did'nt go all the way to cerro gordo but it was neat to look at the dry lake bed from a couple of miles up the grade . we revisited rhyolite and i located titus canyon although we did not travel down that road . my 89 nissan ran perfectly and we put on about 600 miles over the 3 day weekend . the next time we go we are going to go to ridgecrest and we will checkout randsberg and johanessberg . i suppose that i'll get to check out ballarat at that time and maybe the weather will be drier !! ------ 2 questions ------- i saw a place called - dirty socks yard - . who owns the yard and lake and what is being mined ??? thankyou ---- arthur
