Welcome to the Brand New Death Valley Talk!

Thanks to all those who worked hard to get the new forum online. It looks great. I like also that you included a Trip Reports area of the forum. I'm looking forward to making good use of that in the near future.

Nice to see the forum is getting updated. DV Talk is one of the first boards to discuss Death Valley and the surroundings areas. A few of us old timers have been around DV Talk for nearly 15 years, so it's good to see it continue.

This truly is the equivalent to a campfire. Lots of different topics being discussed. Sometimes slightly enthusiastic in the past, but generally quite civil. Spirited discussion is welcome, and in fact, encouraged. However, we will draw the line at personal attacks. Of course, discussing political or religious views is not usually a good thing, as it's highly unlikely that anyone's views will convince anyone else. There are plenty of other forums available on the internet to discuss these topics.

We don't intend to heavily moderate this forum, so all views can be expressed. But personal attacks and excessive political discussion will be removed.
