This forum died-------Goodbye, I'm moving to Tecopa

I am still here also. However I only check occasionally. Yes, it is very slow. But also cyclical. That is the nature of forums in general since the advent of Facebook. But I still love the forums over other forms of social media.

Note to Mr. Bricker. Fix the cookie oven and I'll stop by more often. Even checking the box to log me on automatically results in having to log on each time I visit. It has been that way since the forum changed to its current format.

The recent posts by Kauri Jacob and Steve Hall make this forum worth the price of admission by themselves.

Peek a boo! Still here. I agree most forums have reduced traffic especially based on season. I guess most DV chatter is on DV.net and even that is pretty slow.

Unfortunately, I won't be out there until Thanksgiving, and this trip will be coming from LA, so a run past Shoshone isn't quite in the cards. Otherwise, I'd be up for a good $100 scavenger hunt.

I came back but this place is still sleeping, I stashed a $100 bill off 178 somewhere west of Shoshone and if we get some chatter going here, I will give out clues on where to find it, otherwise I pick it up on my Christmas run to the kids.

My experience with this and few other forums is that the natives aren't all that friendly.
And sometimes kind of weird.
But in fairness I've enhanced my vocabulary.
Shirt-cocking and Donald Ducking were unknown terms to me until I visited the SV forum.
That was enough to convinced me not to visit.
Now I plan my DV visits on my own using my own resources.
