I think the last time we stayed there was the last year Jerry was still in charge but he was in the hospital. we were there for thanksgiving a couple of times prior to that. What a great tradition... glad to hear it is still going. We did stay on the other side of the park near Death Valley Junction at Longstreets a few years ago. We were still members of 49ers then but have not renewed in a few years. We have backroaded lots of the Valley with friends we made during those years. We were friends with Danny Ray Thomas and Gene Butler during that time. We have not been able to find out anything about either of them for a long time. Anyway, we miss being out there and are just about retired and looking forward to RVing out there again.

When were you out at PSR last? New owners in 2006; lots of changes, lots of things the same. Hope you get the opportunity to come out again. My son works out there full time, and I am out there three or so times a year. Thanksgiving is always a fun time - hundreds come out for the Free Will Thanksgiving dinner, which is great food and great company.

you need to check out Tecopa HS area. Nice quite place and the hot water is great.Beautiful view and the water is great for any aliments . Works better for me than the therapy at VA hospital.GBA!!SVJ will send photos if you like

My wife and I have spent several winters in Death Valley but it has been a few years ago. We started by finding Panamint Springs RV campground. We our from Kansas City and had found the campground on the Internet. Never having been there we started after dark at the Opera House and had no idea what we were in for. All across 190 in 32 ft motorhome towing a small 4 wheel Suzuki on a completely dark night. Finally got to Panamint Springs and my wife said “ now what have you got us in to” in themorning we were looking at the sand dunes in awe. We continued staying for the winter. We were every winter for several years making friends with people in the area. Have not been able to get back for a while but will be coming back this winter we hope.
