I couldn't just have a duopoly of forum moderator duties. I had to go for the trifecta.

Retirement: ah yes, something to look forward to, but I've still got a little while to go.

Thanks for your efforts, Netllama. It appears that the domain is not for sale, and the database also not available. As to why it's shutting down, that's a tough one to understand, particularly with minimal notification.

Panamintvalley.com and this site will continue to operate as usual.

Posting this here as FYI. Apparently www.death-valley.net/forum/ is shutting down on Sept 15 (this Tuesday!) after 18 years of operation.

This was a very unexpected turn of events, and its unclear at this point why the site is shutting down on such short notice.

Anyway, I am working on setting up a new forum to replace the old for anyone who is interested. Please watch HERE for the latest.
