Mosaic Canyon

I've seen it there as well, dating back to 1970. Judging from its looks, I'm guessing it's back from the 1920s at least.

I've never seen any pictures of what the canyon looked like when the ladder was a requrement. I too, would be interesting in seeing some.

Does anyone know the history of the iron ladder in the lower narrows of Mosaic Canyon? It was clearly put there to get around something, perhaps blockage by a boulder, but for as long as I've been going there (since 1975) there has been no purpose to it. I would love to know when and why it was put in, and would especially love to see pictures from when it was needed. It is remarkable how much level of gravel on the canyon floor rises and falls over the years.
