Web ruining remote DV spots ?

It seems like remote DV is changing, possibly due to easy web directions to the best and most remote spots? Has anyone noticed the change over the past few years? Cabins being burned and vandalized, cabin logs being stolen, people's gear being stolen from remote camp sites and even from inside cabins. More often than not remote camping areas and cabins are left messy with trash and cigarette butts.

A friend of mine left 80 cans of food at one of the cabins to stock the emergency/ trade-a-can stores, 3 weeks later all had been removed.

It used to be that information/directions about remote special places was only shared among like minded individuals who had the same ethics and feelings. I love to share great spots but I still won't share some with even people I know -- they are careless pigs --- much less post directions on a web forum.

Somehow it seems like any lurker (sociopathic or not) can easily find some great areas to damage and destroy.
