keynot mine and buildings

21 years ago we backpacked up Keynot canyon to the mine and buildings. About an 8,000 foot elevation gain. We stayed in a cabin with a visitor register. We signed it along with some people from desert survivors. There was a stamp mill up there. Could not find water and left after two days. We found handfulls of quartz crystals by digging through the tailings. Anyone been up there or heard any stories.
